Badger/NLA 7-on-7 Recruiting Notebook observed several elite prospects competing at the Badger Sport/New Level Athletics 7-on-7 National Championship Tournament in Tuscaloosa. The latest news of their recruitment found here...

Andrew Johnnson, three-star cornerback from Miami-Southridge, Fla., committed to Ole Miss as well as teammate Gerrod Holliman, four-star safety.

Kent Turene, three-star outside linebacker from Lauderdale Lakes-Boyd Anderson, Fla., committed to USC.

DeAnthony Thomas, five-star cornerback from Los Angeles-Crenshaw, Calif., is 100-percent committed to USC. He does plan to take visits with one official scheduled to Washington in September. He is considering trips to Ohio State and Michigan as well.

T.J. Worthy, three-star wide receiver from Gadsden (Ala.) City, will announce a decision July 17. He'll announce from the school he visits on that same date. Ole Miss leads for his signature.

Chris Barnett, four-star tight end from Dallas-Maceo Smith, Texas, reported his top five includes Miami, Florida State, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Alabama. He does not plan to make a decision anytime soon.

Michael Thomas, wide receiver from Woodland Hills-Taft, Calif., was ruled ineligible during the 2009 season. The nephew of former NFL All-Pro receiver Keyshawn Johnson is hearing from USC, UCLA, Cal, Washington and Michigan. He has attended camps at Washington and Oregon State.

Zeke Pike, 2012 quarterback from Ft. Mitchell-Dixie Heights, Ky., has received several scholarship offers including Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Kentucky, Purdue, Iowa, Louisville, Toledo, Northern Illinois and Ohio. He is receiving interest from USC, UCLA and Alabama. Pike reports high interest in Alabama and Florida. He is also interested in Auburn, Oklahoma State, Purdue and Louisville.

Ed Davis, three-star outside linebacker from Detroit-Southeastern, Mich., holds 12 offers including Michigan State, Michigan, Iowa, Akron and Syracuse. His named Michigan State the favorite, and wants to hear from SEC schools Alabama, Auburn and Florida.

Valdez Showers, four-star cornerback from Madison Heights-Madison, Mich., received an offer in late June from Florida. He plans to attend the Michigan State camp this month. Showers has been to Florida and the Sound Mind Sound Body camp. He does not report any favorites.

Demarius Rancifer, three-star outside linebacker from Pensacola-Catholic, Fla., has scholarship offers from Ole Miss, Kentucky, Louisville, South Florida and UCF. He favors Louisville, South Florida and UCF.

Loucheiz Purifoy, cornerback from Pensacola-Pine Forest, Fla., has offers from Florida, UAB, Southern Miss, South Alabama and Troy. The Gators lead for his signature, and he plans to commit before the end of summer.

Jabriel Washington, four-star cornerback from Jackson-Trinity Christian Academy, Tenn., is still receiving interest from schools including LSU. The Tide commitment may take a trip to Baton Rouge, but is solid with his commitment to Alabama.
