ScoutTV: Marvin Shinn

Marvin Shinn, four-star wide receiver from Prichard-Vigor, Ala., kept a low profile during the spring, but spectators can watch him play on a national stage at the Under Armour All-American game in Orlando next January. presents Shinn's 2009 highlights and spring game against Theodore.

The elite playmaker is 6-foot-4, 195 pounds and has added 25-pounds of muscle since his commitment to Alabama more than a year ago. He has been described by head coach Kerry Stevenson as the next A.J. Green.

Shinn may have the same body-type as Green, and his moves in the open field is another big area where the two are similiar. He is quick and makes plays normally designed for a slot receiver.

Shinn isn't as polished as Green coming out of high school at this point, but he has the ability to become an impact player once he arrives in Tuscaloosa. Coaches in the Mobile area feel he's the best prospect to come out of the region since Foley's Julio Jones.

Marvin Shinn is rated the pre-season No. 1 player in the state by the Tuscaloosa News.
