Minor Looking at Visits

Arkansas commit Keante Minor was a big key in East St. Louis's victory over Indianapolis Cathedral. Afterwards, he spoke to Scout.com about the win and the latest in his recruitment.

East St. Louis traveled to the Warren Central Classic and came away with a victory against a tough Indianapolis Cathedral team.

Four-star senior receiver Keante Minor had three receptions for 90 yards and a couple of dazzling punt returns in the win, and was happy to finally start the season off right.

"This feels pretty good," he admitted. "We had lost the first game the last three or four years."

A big key was new running back Anthony Pierson, a Missouri commit and transfer who rushed for 204 yards and two touchdowns for the Flyers.

"I liked it. I've been wanting to play with him for so long," Minor said. "I thought he was coming here my freshman year. We knew we were getting another good running back."

The 6'1, 195-lb Minor has been committed to Arkansas, but when asked if schools have backed off, said, "They're still recruiting me."

Minor maintains his commitment to Razorbacks, saying he will take an official visit to Arkansas later this year, but may check out other schools too.

"I'm still looking at taking visits. Probably Illinois, Missouri, Kansas and probably Kentucky."

His focus however, is the season. The schedule is not getting any easier, as next week, Fort Lauderdale Dillard is the opponent.

"It's just making us better for the season," Minor explained, and finished by saying the goal is clear.

"Just win states."
