Video: Kyle Flood Comments on Ray Rice

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers head coach Kyle Flood offered comments on Ray Rice after video went public Monday morning from within the Atlantic City elevator. Flood worked as an assistant coach during Rice's three-year tenure with the Scarlet Knights before he became a second-round pick in 2008 by the Baltimore Ravens.

With Ray Rice immortalized all over the Rutgers campus after three legendary years in Piscataway, it was a sad morning for the program and head coach Kyle Flood with the release of more video from an Atlantic City incident with his fiance.

Rice was caught on video striking his fiance inside and knocking her out before dragging her out of an elevator. Flood addressed the issue during his press conference to preview Saturday's game against Penn State.

Ray will always be a part of our family,'' Flood said. "The video I saw this morning was difficult to watch. As a husband and as a father, there’s nothing that could justify what I saw on that video.''
