Who's Chasing Buckeyes For Bosa?

Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas junior defensive end Nick Bosa says Ohio State leads. Who else is in the mix?

You will be hearing the name of Nicholas Bosa a lot in the coming months. This junior from Ft. Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas will be one of the most sought after prospects in the nation regardless of position in the 2016 class.

Already a five-star defensive end, he could be headed up to Ohio State where his brother Joey stars. The Buckeyes are the early favorites for his services.

”I love the coaches, especially coach [Larry] Johnson,” Bosa said. “He is really good and they produce so many NFL players. Plus, it’s a great program and my brother loves it there.”

Despite the lean up north for this junior he still wants to make sure he visits a few other schools, two in particular.

”I know I want to check out Florida State and Florida,” Bosa said. “I want to visit those two schools. I like that new Florida coach a lot. Other than that I really do not know yet who I want to see.

Bosa, 6-foot-4, 255-pounds, helped lead St. Thomas Aquinas to yet another state championship. Last night’s 31-0 win over Osceola Kissimmee was the school’s eighth title.

”It’s amazing. It shows you that all the hard work does pay off,” Bosa said. “This team really came together, especially towards the end of the season. It’s always hard because we are St. Thomas and we get everyone’s ‘A’ game when we play them. And I have to say that we have some great coaches that get us ready to play.”

Now Bosa is already focused on what he needs to do for next season. He has one thing in mind.

”It will soon be time to get back to work,” Bosa said. “I have to get faster. It’s time to get back into working out and getting my speed better.
