Ole Miss Head Coach Hugh Freeze Has No Update on Rebels' NCAA Investigation

Freeze's only hope is that the investigation doesn't conclude during football season.

On the concluding day of SEC Media Days, Ole Miss' Head Coach Hugh Freeze addressed the storm surrounding his program: the Rebels' ongoing NCAA investigation.

Freeze had no update nor timetable to give on the status of the investigation. His only hope -- that it wouldn't conclude while his team was focusing on the regular season.

"We’ll go argue our facts and side of things and then we’ll be held accountable for the things that happened in or around our program," said Freeze at Media Days.

The Rebels are suspected of 28 violations, 13 of which may have involved the football program -- nine under Freeze, and four under former head coach Houston Nutt.

Miami Dolphins tackle Laremy Tunsil sparked further controversy at the heels of the NFL Draft when he revealed that he had been paid by coaching staff during his time in Oxford.
