When discussing Michigan's on-field objectives, his central theme was improvement, stating that "improvement will lead to success."
He also said that having a year under his belt at Michigan should be beneficial to the team. "When you're doing things for the first time, there's uncharted waters, the unknown. When you're doing it for the second year, everything that you're doing, you've already done once and you're doing it a second time, so that can be an advantage."
The highlight of the press conference came when Harbaugh was asked about why he appeared in a rap video this offseason. He responded by saying "my default is usually yes" before saying that "the cool people liked it."
He also said that he's "proud and honored to share a sideline with Michael Jordan" when asked about Michael Jordan's role as honorary captain for Michigan's opening game of the season.
Harbaugh will take the field with MJ on September 3, when the Wolverines take on the Hawaii Warriors.
