Badger kicker Rafael Gaglianone will honor his friend Sam Foltz by wearing his number 27

Rafael Gaglianone honors his late friend, Nebraska punter Sam Foltz, who died over the weekend in an auto accident.

Wisconsin kicker Rafael Gaglianone will be wearing Sam Foltz's jersey number 27 this season to honor his late friend, the school announced.

On Saturday, Foltz was killed in a car accident in Wales, Wisconsin as the Nebraska punter was returning from a kicking camp. Former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler, who was driving the car, was also killed. LSU kicker Colby Delahoussaye, who was also in the car, suffered injuries but survived.

Delahoussaye's father, Dwayne, said his son is "hurting" but recovering. "He said, 'Tell everybody I'm going to be OK,' " Dwayne Delahoussaye told The Advocate. "The love and support of Tiger nation has been great."

Gaglianone, a junior who used to wear number 10, posted a photo tribute to Foltz on Instagram (above).
