UGA Fan Day is Changing this Year

Open practice, photos with Uga X, and autographs with athletes -- what more could a UGA fan want?

Georgia will host its annual fan day August 6 and this year's celebration will look unlike any year before. Fan's will get an inside look about what to expect from first year head coach, Kirby Smart.

Smart and his squad will host an open practice on Sanford Stadium where players will be available to sign autographs immediately following.

Admission to the event is free but fans will need a special admission ticket to take photos with UGA's beloved mascot, Uga X. The day will closely mirror the way Alabama, Smart's former gig, hosts its fan day with an open practice and autograph session.

Under Mark Richt, fan day featured athletes available for photos and autographs, but no open practice.
