Inside the Matchup: Virginia Tech vs Notre Dame

The Hokies square off against the Fighting Irish.

Virginia Tech is looking to bounce back after last weeks loss to the Yellow Jackets, their 726 wins is 15th all time. Notre Dame easily handled Army last week, their 895 program wins are 2nd all-time.

Wins lead to championships 10 conference championships for the Hokies. Notre Dame is an independent they don’t play for conference championships, they have 13 national championships.

This will be the first time these two have ever played one another.

his season statistically they’re almost even when it comes to points per game and offensive, the Hokies have the defensive edge and neither team is great when it comes to turnovers.

One player to keep an eye on for Virginia Tech is QB Jerod Evans, this season he’s thrown for over 2500 yards and 22 touchdowns. For the Notre Dame  it’s QB Deshone Kizer, last week against Army he threw for 209 yards and three touchdowns.
