From High School To The NFL: Texas A&M DE Myles Garrett

Scout digs through the archives to bring you the tape, evaluation and recruitment of Texas A&M defensive end and NFL hopeful Myles Garrett

High School Analysis:

Myles Garrett has great size and speed and is just overall one of the most physically impressive specimens in the country. Boasts a scathing 4.5 40-yard dash and a 4.09 pro-shuttle. He is cat quick off the edge and a dynamite pass rusher. At times he also shows great strength and can be powerfully overwhelming at the point of attack. He pursues the run well down the field and has the range and pursuit to make backside plays. Will grow with consistency. - Greg Powers

With offers from almost every then BCS school, 2014's No. 5 overall prospect and top defensive end, Myles Garrett narrowed down his list of five finalists in October of 2013. Shortly after naming the final five of Florida StateAlabamaOhio StateTCU and Texas A&M, he made his pledge to the Aggies. Garrett said then of Texas A&M, "It's probably the first place I went, other than TCU, where I actually went around, looked at the facilities, talked to all the coaches and met them. I went into the office with Coach Sumlin and really got to know him. It was a good experience."
