From High School To The NFL: LSU DB Jamal Adams

Scout digs through the archives to bring you the tape, evaluation and recruitment of LSU defensive back and NFL hopeful Jamal Adams.

High School Analysis:

A ball-hawking type of defender. Jamal Adams has great feet and can change direction quickly. He is a fast-twitch kid. He has the look of definite potential college star. A solid, well developed upper body combined with an athletic looking lower body. Looks like a basketball star meshed with a middle backer. His ability to hit and his aggressive downhill play gives him the skills to man the safety spot in college, but he can also play corner as well. - Greg Powers

Going into the week of the Under Armour All-America game, Adams told scout that he might not get much sleep the night before his decision. Had had the three finalists of LSU, Florida and Ole Miss but did not yet know where he was going. Adams was looking for a school that could offer playing time as a freshman and he felt both LSU and Florida offered that, as well as the future outlook of those two programs. When the decision came during the UA Game, Jamal Adams put on the LSU hat.
