In today’s day in age athletes are a sought after commodity in College Football recruiting. To find one that can play both sides of the ball and play it well is even harder. Ryan Jenkins star athlete out of Saint Mary’s College High School, Berkley (Calif) does just that playing both sides of the ball. Jenkins primarily plays at the quarterback position but doubles as a cornerback and free safety on defense. His consistent play and big play ability is drawing attention from college recruiters. Among them is Fresno State. Watching him play at the 7 on 7 Passing down challenge earlier in the year I can see why.
What stands out the most is his ability to cover wide receivers and shut them down. What’s even more impressive is his ability to make the tackle in open space. Jenkins has great instincts and a nose for the ball. Making him a player to watch this upcoming high school season. Not only is Jenkins already picking up interest from Mountain West schools such as Fresno State and San Diego State, but PAC 12 schools such as UCLA and USC are showing interest as well. Though no offers have been made to Jenkins as of yet, his consistent and big play ability this season could change that early on in the upcoming season.
