The tall 6-foot-4, 215-pound 2017 prospect drew rave reviews from the spectators and Bulldog coaches who saw Moraga’s level of focus on the one-handed grabs. He not only displayed soft hands, but wowed people with his speed and ability to get deep during one-on-one sessions against cornerbacks.
“I think I did good overall. I went in with a lot of confidence,” Moraga said. “I did drop a few balls, but I got back to it. I ended up with a few one-handed ones. I also played some linebacker too.”
Before the June satellite camp, he was in previous contact with Fresno State.
“They’re looking at me as a receiver,” Moraga said. “It’s a great coaching staff. I’m developing a good connection with coach [Joe] Bernardi. He tells me to be patient and my time will come.”
Moraga said he doesn’t have a set time and place for when he wants to announce his verbal commitment, but added that he would highly consider Fresno State if a scholarship paper is given to him.
“It’s still early in the process. But they would definitely be near the top [if they offered]. They’ve had a great receiving core. If I do go there, I might move to tight end. I’ll do whatever it takes to play whatever position,” Moraga said.
