The high school season is over and the playoffs are on the horizon. Seniors are looking ahead to what’s next and juniors are looking forward to next season and an opportunity to get noticed. For freshman RB Kendall Milton getting noticed hasn’t been a problem. He received his first Division I offer as an eighth grader from BYU and has garnered interest from several other universities including Fresno State.
As a freshman Milton has a long way to go before he’ll have to make a decision on where to play. Before it’s said and done Milton could could have a long list of schools to choose from when the time comes. When asked how Fresno State figures into his decision even with the imminent coaching change, Milton responds,”They’re one of my top schools.”
Kendall got a chance to be a part of the Buchanan Varsity Football team earlier this season and has made the most of it becoming one of the top running backs on the team. Going into the final game of the season vs Clovis North, Milton had 362 yards on 40 carries. Numbers that are sure to increase as his football career progresses.
Kendall Milton is quickly developing into one of the most sought after players of the 2020 football recruiting class and one of the top running backs in the Valley. When given the ball, Milton does not hesitate to pick a hole and get going. He’s got the size and strength to power the ball when needed. He also has the speed and agility to turn the corner when needed. When Milton squares his shoulders to the defender they often have a hard time bringing him down. He’s got great hands which could be an asset in the passing game as well. Where Milton could use some work would be his ability to block on passing plays which can easily improved with coaching. Milton has great feel for the game and great composure at this point of his high school career.
