Buchanan LB Logan Fogg has been a big reason for the Bears success this season. The Barkboard's Lucio Ourique caught up with Fogg after a tough loss to Clovis North to talk football and his recruiting process.
The valley has been a hotbed for division I talent and this year is no exception. This season looks to have a deep class of talent and some may go overlooked. One of those players may very well be Buchannan LB Logan Fogg.
What started off as a promising summer recruiting wise for Fogg has turned into a quiet season. Early on Fogg had drawn interest from schools such as BYU, UNLV, and Fresno State but it’s been relatively quiet as of late. Now that high school football has moved into the playoffs, Fogg is looking for an opportunity to play at the Collegiate level. With the playoffs upon us recruiting now shifts into another gear.
At 6-foot 220-lbs Logan Fogg is a hard nosed, no nonsense hard hitting player that any coach at the collegiate level would love to have. He’s got a great presence and awareness of where to be on the field and is always ready to deliver a jarring hit. He’s got great speed and a motor that doesn’t quit. When blitzing Fogg shows great agility to shed tackles while often making a play.
FRESNO STATE IMPACT:
The Bulldogs were interested early in Logan Fogg but have since backed off. Under DeRuyter recruiting the valley wasn’t a priority so many valley recruits were overlooked for out of state options. Now that a new coaching era is eminent with the hiring of Jeff Tedford, look for the Bulldogs to scour the local talent and expect to see Fogg on that list.
