No Fresno State games moved to weekdays in latest schedule update with TV partners

Fresno State football is set for only Saturday games for just the second time since the turn of the century.

The Mountain West announced its latest update to the 2017 football schedule and all of the television adjustments that come with it on Wednesday. Three Fresno State games were picked up by national television partners, none of which were moved from their originally scheduled dates.

- The Oct. 21 matchup at San Diego State will be televised by CBS Sports Network at 7:30 p.m. PT.

- The Nov. 4 home game versus BYU will be televised by an ESPN network at a time to be decided during the season.

- The Nov. 25 home game versus Boise State will be televised by CBS Sports Network at 12:30 p.m. PT.

ESPN and CBS Sports Network picked up 44 Mountain West games in all for the 2017 season.

Said Fresno State Athletic Director Jim Bartko in a release, “The fact that our fans now know that they can plan their weekends in the fall around six home Saturday games is huge. All of us, especially our fans, have been wanting this for some time now and it is here, it can only help the Red Wave rally around Coach Tedford and our Bulldogs. It’s going to be an exciting fall.”

It is only the third time since 2000 that the Bulldogs will play all Saturday home games and the second time since 2000 that the 'Dogs are set for all Saturday games both home and away. Fresno State played all Saturday games in 2011 and all Saturday home games in 2000.

Additional broadcasts by ROOT SPORTS, the Mountain West Network on Campus Insiders and OC Sports (Hawai'i) will be announced in the coming months.
