With the shaky play of Quarterbacks at GSU last season and the current rumors floating around about current Georgia State commits, Georgia State got some great news Tuesday morning when it first broke that Lakeside HS QB Mark Weidenaar was switching his commitment to from Coastal Carolina to GSU.
"I just felt I had the best opportunity to play quarterback early at Georgia State," Weidenaar explained. "It's somewhere that I just feel more at home and more comfortable with."
"I chose GSU because I feel like their program has a lot of potential to be great in the near future."
Weidenaar is a very good athlete that cites his speed as one of his biggest strengths. He uses that agility to get out of trouble, while keeping his eyes down the field and making big plays.
Mark will sign his letter of intent tomorrow morning at his high school.
