Panthers Add Depth and Skill With Forrister

Justin Forrister, a offensive lineman from South Paulding HS, committed to Georgia State on Tuesday over offers from Jacksonville St, Lagrange, and Elon. continues our recruiting features by talking to what may be the final commit of the 2012 class.

p>Some of the key aspects of recruiting include finding areas of need and building depth. Justin Forrister serviced both of those needs and the coaches secured the commitment of the South Paulding prospect on the eve of signing day.

The long-snapping specialist visited Georgia State and came away impressed with what the local school had to offer.

“I chose GSU because when I visited I really liked the coaches, “ Forrister said. “The facilities were impressive and I also like that it’s close to home.”

While Georgia State certainly could use all the depth it can get along the offensive line, Forrister says that the coaches believe he can see the field sooner rather than later.

“My strengths as a player are my snapping abilities, speed and accuracy in long snapping,” Forrister stated. “The coaches told me that I can come in and compete and become a starter in my first year snapping for punts.”

Forrister chose the Panthers over an impressive list of FCS suitors which included Jacksonville St, Lagrange, and Elon. He will sign his letter of intent between 11 and 12.
