UCONN Transfer looking at Georgia State

Michael Bradley requested and received his release from UConn last week. Since then, he has visited Western Kentucky and Panthersvile.com has now confirmed that he is also considering Georgia State and has been in contact with the Panthers coaching staff.

Bradley is a 6-9, 255-lb. center who after two years at UConn has yet to play a game at the school. He was redshirted his first year, and then suffered an ankle-fracture that kept him out all of last season.

It has been reported that Bradley wants to move closer to his home in Chattanooga, to be with an ailing family member. However, sources tell Panthersville.com that VCU is a leading candidate in his transfer search. If he does transfer close to Chattanooga he may be able to get a hardship transfer waiver, which could allow him to play right away. Otherwise, he may be able to get a waiver based on the fact that UConn is facing a 2012-13 postseason ban for poor Academic Progress Rate scores.
