Tony Parker's Offers Are Piling Up

Tony Parker may one day end up as successful as his NBA namesake, but for now Tony is hearing from many schools and just trying to figure out where he wants to attend college. Tony recently took a visit to Georgia Tech.

Tony Parker is a basketball name you will be hearing about a great deal. This Tony is a 6'9", 275 lb power forward at Lithonia, Georgia's Miller Grove High School. Parker took his talent outside of the United States this summer as a member of the USA's U-17 team. The team included some of the best high school players in the nation.

The junior forward recently took a visit that was close to home. "I went to Georgia Tech with my parents," said Parker. "Coach Hewitt and several of his coaches spent time with us showing us around and we all enjoyed it."

Tony has always been one of the taller ones since he was young. He gets that from his mom's side of the family. The size has paid off as his basketball career has begun to take off. Things have started to slow down a little for Tony after spending the summer playing AAU ball and representing his country. "I work out twice a day," said Parker. "In the morning I run and shoot and in the afternoon it's a full body workout for strength and agility."

The offers have begun to pile up for Parker. Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Connecticut, Oklahoma, Louisville, Georgetown, Georgia, Virginia Tech, and Alabama have offered." Tony has yet to name any favorites. Growing up in Georgia has not given the in-state schools an edge as Tony is open to all schools. Top Stories
