Kedren Johnson Narrowing Down His List

Kedren Johnson's a 6-4 ½ senior point guard at Marshall County High School in Lewisburg, Tennessee. Like many, he's gone through the process of narrowing his sizable college choices to a handful. He talked about his focus and where he is now with his recruitment.

Kedren Johnson has been in the process of narrowing down his list of offers. "I guess I'm pretty much down to Louisville, Alabama, Memphis, and Vanderbilt." Johnson has made campus visits to all the schools with the exception of Memphis.

One school not on his announced list of five will be visiting Johnson for an in-home visit. "Georgia Tech Coach Paul Hewitt and Darryl LaBarrie will be visiting but I'm not sure when that is." Is Johnson still open to Tech? "I think they're coming to see me to try and get me to visit their campus." The Jacket coaches will probably have some selling to do.

Georgia Tech is not on Johnson's list in spite of the fact that they have a history of big point guards. "I like that," said Johnson. "The other schools are on my list because I've known the schools and coaches for a long time."

Like many recruits going through the process playing time is important to Johnson. He hopes to make his decision before the start of his senior season. Look for Kedren to sit down with his parents and coach before making that decision. Top Stories
