Barron Dixon recently took an unofficial visit to Georgia Tech. "It was a great time," said Dixon. "I was there for the South Carolina State game and I always have a good time when I'm there." Dixon had a chance to see the Tech offense and defense up close and to talk to Coach Lamar Owens.
Dixon will be one of the recruits that Georgia Tech will be looking at now that the evaluation period has begun. "He said he would stay in contact and he will evaluate me after he sees me play." The evaluation will probably take place after three or four games. "There was a disconnect because of an incorrect address and they didn't think I was interested," said Dixon. "I am interested and now we've reconnected."
Over the course of the summer, Dixon picked up eight offers. He has three schools that top his list. "Arkansas, Middle Tennessee, and Cincinnati are my top three and I was at each of these schools this summer for football camps."
Dixon is hearing a lot from those three and a new school is also beginning to contact him. "I'm hearing a lot from Tennessee but I don't have an offer yet." Dixon doesn't plan on waiting too long before making a decision. "I don't want to wait too long and have my scholarship gone. He plans on making a decision possibly by the fourth game of his season.
