Jackson got the phone call he was looking for when Georgia Tech called. "Coach (Lamar) Owens called and offered me over the phone," said Jackson. "He told me that the staff had been in a meeting watching film and they all liked my film and Coach (Paul) Johnson gave Coach Owens the green light to give me a verbal offer." Jackson was excited about the offer and happy that it came from Georgia Tech.
Could a written offer be coming soon as a follow-up to Tre's verbal offer? "He asked me to come to the Virginia game this weekend to talk to Coach Johnson and I feel like that is his way of saying that a written offer will be coming from Coach Johnson." Tre hopes that will receive that written offer.
A written offer from Georgia Tech could lead to a commit from Jackson. "I feel I would commit right then as I've always liked Georgia Tech and they have always been at the top of my list." Tre has been waiting on the offer and he feels that getting the written offer could end his recruitment.
Jackson has been hearing from four schools in addition to Tech and has recently begun hearing from additional schools around the south. "Georgia, Clemson, Georgia Southern, and Middle Tennessee are just some of the schools that I'm hearing from a lot in the past few weeks."
Jackson has plans to visit a few of those schools over the next few weeks but those plans could change if he receives the written offer from Tech. "I will go to Georgia Southern or Georgia next weekend but if I commit to Tech those visits would be canceled as I would be true to Georgia Tech and the staff for showing faith in me and how much they want me at Tech."
