Two New Schools Enter Byers's Radar

Roderick Byers has not made any changes in his favorites list of Clemson, Georgia Tech and South Carolina but the Northwestern High School (Rock Hill, South Carolina) has two new schools showing him interest. Byers still has plans to take official visits to his three favorites.

Roderick Byers has not seen much change in his recruitment over the past few weeks. "Things are pretty much the same, however, I have heard from North Carolina State and UCLA so I guess you could say it's picked up a little."

His top three schools continue to stay in contact with him. "I just talked to Coach (Charles) Spencer from Georgia Tech just this past week," said Byers. "Coach Johnson from South Carolina stays in contact with me as does Coach Scott from Clemson."

Clemson is the only school on Byers' favorites list that has not offered. "I have to go to Clemson for a visit to get a written offer from them and I am trying to make to the North Carolina State-Clemson game."

Byers would also like to make it to Atlanta for the Miami game on the 13th. "I think I am going but I'm not real sure about it right now," said Byers. "I have to talk with the coaches to see if I am going."

Roderick is making plans to get to his three favorites for official visits. "Right now it looks like I will be going to Georgia Tech the second week in December and I haven't set anything up with South Carolina or Clemson yet."

One of Georgia Tech's verbal commits has been keeping in touch with Byers. "Vad Lee has texted me a few times and we spoke about Georgia Tech a lot, said Byers. "He has really got my interest in Georgia Tech up a lot." Byers is also aware that three other North Carolina recruits are coming together to Tech. "It might be special to be a part of that."

Making a decision has become a day to day thing with Roderick. "Until I talked with Vad I liked South Carolina, the next day it was Georgia Tech, and the next Clemson. Byers wants to take his visits to get a good feel for each school before making a decision. Top Stories
