Menocal'sseason ended in the second round of the Florida state playoffs. "We lost to a team that we beat earlier in the season." Menocal and his teammates had a good season but it didn't end up like they would have liked. Even though the season is over, Nick will continue to work on his game.
With the coaching change at Miami, Menocal is keeping his options open. "I am still committed to Miami and I still may end up going there and I may not." Menocal is waiting to see who Miami hires as their new coach. "It depends on who is hired and if I like the other schools I am set to visit over the next month." For now, Nick is taking it day by day.
Menocal has made plans to visit three schools in December and January. "I am going to visit Virginia this coming weekend, the next weekend I'll go out to Stanford, and the weekend of January 14th I'll visit Georgia Tech."
Nick also recently received a new offer. "Coach ("Buzz") Preston, from Georgia Tech, gave me an offer this week," said Menocal. "They are a school I am interested in right now."
There may be other schools getting visits from Nick. "I feel there will be two more visits but I'm not completely sure right now. More schools are starting to show interest in Menocal which may lead to additional visits.
One of the things Nick is looking at in thse schools is their depth chart at linebacker. "If I feel I can come in as a freshman and get playing time, that school will be high on my list." Menocal will also be looking at the academics and the football being played at each school. "All the schools are looking at me as an outside linebacker."
