"I'm going to make my official visit to Tech on January 14," Dupree said. "I haven't really spoken to any of the current players, so I'm looking forward to meeting them and getting to know some of the guys most of all."
Dupree acknowledged that he has spoken to Coach Mike Sewak almost exclusively during this process, and is also looking forward to speaking with head coach Paul Johnson and others.
The offer to Dupree has not been matched with a verbal commitment from the high school senior, but he admitted that he is leaning towards Georgia Tech.
If Dupree does make the decision to play for the Yellow Jackets, he mentioned that he has yet to commit to a position he would play. He prefers to be listed as an "athlete" for now, due to his ability to play several different positions.
The Jan. 14 visit to Atlanta will not be Dupree's first visit to campus – he said that he attended a few of Georgia Tech's games this fall and is looking forward to his return to campus.
"One thing I remember about Georgia Tech is their great facilities," Dupree said. "I didn't watch too many of their games this season, but I did make a few trips for games and watched them at those home games."
While it sounds like Dupree's decision-making process may extend all the way to Signing Day, Tech fans should find comfort in the fact that the Yellow Jackets are at the top of the athlete's list.
