Chris Milton Sets Official For January 14th

Charlton County athlete Chris Milton had originally set up his official visit to Georgia Tech for December 17th but he will now be taking the visit on January 14th. The weekend will be a big one for Georgia Tech and Milton will get to spend the weekend with some of his future teammates.

Chris Milton's visit was changed when Tech's bowl schedule was announced. "I was going to come on the 17th but with school out and he team practicing for the bowl we all thought it was best for me to come on the big weekend in January."

Chris has already begun getting acquainted with his future teammates. "I've stayed in contact with Jabari Hunt-Days, Vad Lee, Chaz Cheeks, and Darren Waller." The group is already becoming good friends. "We are ready to come in and prove that we will make Georgia Tech even better."

Georgia Tech received Milton's verbal commit on September 16th. Since then, some schools have continued to recruit him. "Tennessee, Wake Forest, and South Florida are trying to get into the picture but I keep telling them thanks but no thanks." Milton is solid to Georgia Tech and firmly sound on his choice to attend Tech. "The rest of the schools seem to know this and have backed off for the most part."

Since making Georgia Tech his choice, Milton has kept in touch with the coaching staff. "I've talked to Coach (Paul) Johnson and my position Coach (Lamar) Owens and both feel that I am the right fit to play A Back." Both Johnson and Owens visited Charlton County High School to talk to Milton's coach about his playing A Back. "It is something I'm looking forward to but basically they are looking at me as an athlete and running back is where I will be at my best."

Milton was the quarterback for Charlton County his senior season but not in the traditional sense. "I just played quarterback this season and for the most part I've always been a running back because of my break away speed." Charlton County needed someone to step in at quarterback and Milton's coach felt that he could handle the job out of the spread. "I was able to gain 975 yards rushing to go with my passing totals."

There is no doubt that Chris is firmly committed to Georgia Tech. "I tell everyone that I'm Tech bound and I can't wait until I get to Atlanta."

Charlton County will be holding a signing day ceremony for Chris and his teammates. "There will be a ceremony in the library and they have invited all the family members for each player." Chris and his family are looking forward to signing his letter of intent to Georgia Tech. Top Stories
