Tre Jackson - Offense or Defense?

Jesup, Georgia lineman and Georgia Tech commit Tre Jackson addressed rumors that he might be enrolling early at Tech and talked about whether he'll be playing offense or defense when he arrives at Tech this summer.

Profile - Tre Jackson

Jackson has already taken his official visit to Georgia Tech and is anxiously waiting for signing day. "The visit was very good and I enjoyed myself a lot."

While at Wayne County, Jackson excelled as both a defensive and offensive lineman. Scout.com has given him a three star rating and has Jackson ranked as the 53rd best offensive guard. The coaches at Tech haven't told Jackson where they want him to play "They left it up to me and I told them I'd rather play defense and they were fine with that. I really feel that is where they want me to play anyway."

Since his official visit to Georgia Tech, Jackson has been keeping in touch with fellow defensive recruit Tremayne McNair. "I talk quite a bit to Tremayne about us coming in and playing defense." Jackson hasn't kept up with the other commits as much as he has with McNair.

There had been some rumors that Tre might enroll early at Tech. Tre addressed those rumors. "I will be finishing my senior year at Wayne County but I can't wait to get to Georgia Tech to begin my college career."

With signing day only a month away, Jackson is looking forward to sending in his letter of intent. "A couple of us are signing scholarships that day and the school will hold a ceremony for us. It will be nice to be able to put on the GT cap."

Jackson is 100% committed to Georgia Tech and will make it official on signing day next month.
