Corey Dennis Is Number 20 for GT

Henderson, Alabama athlete Corey Dennis was a surprise visitor to Georgia Tech this weekend. Dennis received an offer on his visit and committed to Coach Paul Johnson as Georgia Tech's 20th commit in the 2011 class.

Corey Dennis arrived at Georgia Tech on Friday. "The trip was great." Dennis had been in contact with Georgia Tech Coach Charles Kelly and got the invite to come to Atlanta for an official visit. "I have grown to really like and respect him a lot. He is a great man and a great coach."

Dennis got word of the offer at the end of his visit when he was called into Coach Paul Johnson's office. "He told me that if I wanted to come to Georgia Tech that I had an offer waiting for me." Dennis committed as soon as he received the offer. "Knowing the academics and the football history of Georgia Tech, I knew that I had found my home."

During the visit, Dennis had a chance to hang out with some of the current players and commits. "I hung out with Will Jackson, Jamal Golden, and Vad Lee and had a blast with them."

Dennis' position will not be decided until he arrives at Georgia Tech. "Coach Johnson said they were recruiting me as an athlete." Dennis could play anywhere from safety on defense to wide receiver or quarterback on offense. "I've played offense most of my career by I would like to give defense a shot."

Dennis is currently 6'2"-205 and runs a 4.5 forty. He had also received offers from Troy and UAB. His parents were happy with his decision. "They really support me in things like this and they can easily make the drive to Atlanta to see me play on Saturday's. Top Stories
