Errin Joe Can't Say Enough Good Things

Lake Gibson offensive lineman Errin Joe made the trip to Atlanta for his official visit to Georgia Tech this weekend. He knew going into the trip that there was a possibility that he would commit to Georgia Tech. When he got on campus and talked to the coaches he knew that Georgia Tech was the place for him

Errin Joe couldn't say enough good things about the trip. "Oh man, let me tell you it was great." All he had to do was talk to the coaches to know that Georgia Tech was where he wanted to be. "The way they welcomed us and made us feel so much at home it was like meeting my family."

Joe came away feeling like he was already a part of the Tech family. "The coaches showed us that not only will they be looking out for us as a player but they will also be looking out for us as a student and I really liked that."

Joe was hosted by Georgia Tech defensive tackle Shawn Green on his visit. "I also hung out with Denzel McCoy on the visit." Joe enjoyed getting to know all the recruits that were on the visit. "I had a chance to get to know Vad (Lee) better after he had sent me a text a few months ago saying that he really wanted me at Tech." Joe also got to hang out with Jamal Golden, Chaz Cheeks, Jeff Greene, Domonique Noble, and Broderick Snoddy. "We all hit it off very well."

There was on recruit that Joe became good friends with on the visit. "Stephon Tuitt and I hung out a lot and once I made my commitment, I was working him to come to Georgia Tech." Joe made Tuitt aware of the family atmosphere among the recruits. "A bunch of us talked to him but we all said this was our opinion but the one that counted the most was his and he needed to go where he felt most comfortable."

Errin had a chance to talk to the coaches about his preparation before he arrives at Tech. "They told me to stay in shape and continue to work hard with my conditioning. " Joe knows he has to be ready when he arrives on campus. "I know there are four spots open on the offensive line and if I can come in and show I'm ready, I can get a chance to play early." Joe will be working hard in order to reach that goal.

Joe is not worried about the blocking techniques he'll have to learn. "To be honest it is not much different from the zone blocking we do." Errin is confident he'll be able to grasp what the coaches want him to do as far as conditioning and technique. "I'm ready for the challenge and I'm ready to get to Georgia Tech and begin the next step in my football career."

Not all the schools that were recruiting Joe have been notified of his decision. "Some coaches are coming in for visits and I'm going to tell them I found my home and that I'm 100% committed to Georgia Tech and I'll thank them for recruiting me."

Joe has plans to get back to Georgia Tech before he starts school. "I think my dad and I are coming up for the spring practice game." Errin will be anxiously awaiting the summer to begin his career at Georgia Tech. Top Stories
