Zach Laskey, "GT is my school"

Zach Laskey, a verbal commitment to Georgia Tech, out of Starr's Mill High School, visited the Atlanta campus of Georgia Tech over the weekend, and couldn't say enough about how much he enjoyed his stay.

"My visit went very well – I didn't realize how big the campus was," Zach Laskey said. "The facilities were high-quality, and I was so ecstatic to learn about the indoor practice facility that is being built."

The fullback commit mentioned that he was pleased with how much the coaches focused on him, which also hit the right note with his parents, who accompanied him on the trip. Additionally, the atmosphere surrounding the players on the team impressed him.

"All the players hung out with me and the other visitors, and it was really cool how everyone seemed to look after each other on campus," Laskey said.

When visiting with other recruits, Laskey said that the other commits spent a good amount of time speaking with the guys who had yet to commit, specifically Errin Joe and Stephon Tuitt. They were clearly very convincing when speaking to Joe (due to his commitment), and Laskey said he was hopeful that they also got through to Tuitt during their visit. (Obviously, they did.)

Laskey added that he did sit down with head coach Paul Johnson to ensure that he was still planning on playing for the Yellow Jackets.

"I told him that GT is my school," Laskey said.

Indeed, it appears that there is little to worry about when it comes to the allegiances of Zach Laske
