Following his weekend official visit to Georgia Tech, Flowers left knowing that he may be receiving an offer from them. "Coach Johnson called me Tuesday morning and said I had a scholarship and I thanked him and gave him my commitment."
Flowers wasn't the only one that was happy with the news. "Coach told me he was happy to have me on board and that he can't wait to get me on campus." Johnson told Flowers to start getting ready to come in and work hard.
Flowers also learned what position he'll be playing when he arrives at Georgia Tech. "Coach (Al) Groh and Coach (Andy) McCollum told me that I would be playing defensive end." Flowers feels he can be very productive playing that position.
In spite of his commitment, Flowers knows that other schools may still be calling him. "I will tell them I've already committed to Georgia Tech and that I'm done with my recruitment." Flowers is happy with his decision and is happy to have the chance to attend Georgia Tech.
The decision to attend Tech also made his parents happy. "They are happy for me and they are glad I will be attending Georgia Tech." His parents enjoyed the trip to Atlanta that resulted in Trey getting the offer that resulted in Trey giving Georgia Tech his verbal commitment.
Trey hopes to major in civil engineering when he arrives for his freshman year.
