"Georgia Tech has spoken to me about giving me an offer, but they haven't actually done it yet," D.J. White said. The junior out of Union Grove High School said he has received one offer so far, from Auburn University. However, he is speaking with Coach Joe Speed at Georgia Tech, and is hopeful that the Yellow Jackets are interested.
"The process is going well, but I'm going to visit a few other schools in the meantime," White said. "I plan on going to Georgia's Junior Day this weekend and I will go to Florida's on February 12." Other schools White has on his radar include Oklahoma and Virginia Tech.
White has already made a trip to Georgia Tech this past weekend with some of the other top recruits in Georgia. He had a chance to tour the campus and speak to some of the coaches. He hopes he'll be able to make it back soon.
Like all juniors, White has already started looking ahead to his senior football season at Union Grove High School. Through his own eyes, White can see a lot of improvements that needs to happen in 2011.
"Individually, I want to have a really productive year in my senior year," White said. "Basically, I want to do whatever I can to help the team improve, because we didn't have that great of a year last season."
With the Wolverines going 3-7 in 2010, White could certainly catch the eye of several schools with a solid 2011 season in the Union Grove secondary.
