Blaylock Twins Visit Georgia Tech, Pt. 2

Walton High School (Georgia) linebacker Daron Blaylock made the trip to Atlanta with his brother Zack for Georgia Tech's Junior Day. Daron and he brother Zach both came away impressed with what they saw on the visit.

Daron Blaylock has been on campus before but got to see a lot more on this visit. "We had a great time in Atlanta and I liked the campus and everything we saw while we were there." Daron got to see the dorms, the facilities, and even got to see the Ramblin Wreck on his visit. "This was a very good trip for my brother and me."

The location of the campus was appealing to Daron. "It is basically right in Atlanta and if you want to go to some place like Atlantic Station, its right there."

On the visit, Daron had a chance to speak with his recruiting Coach Brian Bohannon. "He showed us how we stacked up on their recruiting chart for 2012." Daron didn't receive an offer on the visit but expects to get one. "I was told that once they wrap up the 2011 class and take a look a film, the coaches will talk and an offer will be coming our way."

Coach Bohannon is recruiting Daron as a linebacker. "I really like the position and feel that I can make a good contribution to the team at that position."

Daron reiterated what is brother had said about choosing the same school. "We want to play college ball together and that is something we're looking at when we choose a college."

The trip to Georgia Tech put them in Daron's top three. "Right now they are in my top three along with South Carolina and Florida."

There will be other Junior Day visits for Daron. "I am going to Wake Forest and Florida." Daron has not set up the dates yet but he will definitely be visiting those schools.

Deciding on a college choice will be one that Daron hopes to make early on in the process. "We want to have our decision made by the time spring football arrives for our high school." A decision for Daron could take place sooner than that or possibly during spring practice. Top Stories
