Chris Morgan Blown Away By Tech

Catholic High School (Baton Rouge, Louisiana) safety Chris Morgan was a recent visit to Atlanta for Junior Day at Georgia Tech. The 6'-184 2012 recruit couldn't stop talking about how much he enjoyed his time on the Tech campus.

Before Chris Morgan made the drive to Atlanta, he wasn't sure what to expect. "I wasn't sure how much I would enjoy my time but I just loved it."

Chris had a chance to see the campus, the athletic and academic facilities, the dorms, and the weight room. "I was just blown away by what I saw."

Two things that Morgan experienced on the trip made a big impression on him. "The academics and meeting the coaches made the biggest impressions on me." One of the coaches that Chris got to talk to on the trip was defensive backs Coach Charles Kelly. Kelly is the recruiting coach for Morgan.

Morgan is serious about academics as witness his work in the classroom. "I should have a 3.4 GPA this semester and about a 3.0 overall." Chris is looking to major in either a computers related or an architecture related field.

Look for Morgan to make a return visit to Atlanta after enjoying his first trip to Georgia Tech last month. "I'll be there for one of their one day summer camps and I also hope to get there some time in the spring." The trip to the Georgia Tech summer camp will give Morgan a chance to show his skills to the Georgia Tech coaching staff in hopes of picking up a verbal offer.

Chris may be close to getting his first offer from Louisiana Tech. "They have been recruiting me pretty heavily." Southern Methodist University is another school that has been showing interest in Morgan.

Living in Baton Rouge, one would expect that Chris would have interest in LSU. "I've been there a few times for unofficial visits." Top Stories
