Ishmael Could Return To His Former Home

Westlake Village, California athlete Ishmael Adams has been collecting offer from both sides of the country. His latest offer came from his former home state when he received a verbal offer from Georgia Tech. Adams plays both running back and defensive back for his high school team.

While he does play on both sides of the ball, Ishmael Adams does have a preference. "My main and favorite position is cornerback."

The latest school to be in touch with Adams is Georgia Tech. "I've talked with Coach "Buzz" Preston and he offered me a scholarship after looking at my film."

Even though he lives in California, Adams is very familiar with Georgia Tech. "I used to live in Georgia and Georgia Tech was the team that I followed. I liked them very much and still do."

Adams will be taking a trip back to his former home state. "We hopefully will make it back there this summer for a visit and it will be nice to see the area again." Adams likes living in California but is looking forward to seeing his old home again.

Georgia Tech is not the only school in the east to offer Adams. He also has offers from Vanderbilt and North Carolina. "I have also received offers from Washington, Oregon, Arizona State, SMU, and Colorado." He is also hearing from USC, Oregon State, UCLA, and California.

With all the schools recruiting Adams, two stand out right now. "Washington is starting to show me a lot of interest along with Oregon and I feel that they are the two schools that I like the most right now."

Where does Georgia Tech fit in the picture for Adams? "I would put them in the upper middle but that could change once I take my visit back there to check them out."

Adams hasn't decided when he'll make his college choice. "If I would lean any way it would be after my senior year." His uncle is helping him with his recruiting and he will probably want to take a look at all the schools before making a decision. Top Stories
