Ifeadi Odenigbo is hearing from a lot of schools as the offers continue to come. "I recently picked up an offer from Georgia Tech and Coach (Mike) Sewak who is my recruiting coach. Sewak has invited Ifeadi to visit Georgia Tech. "He said the staff liked what they saw on film and they see me as a very important piece at outside linebacker in their 3-4 defense." Odenigbo plans on making that visit this summer. "I have family down there and I plan on visiting them."
Ifeadi currently measures 6'4"-216. "I play defensive end in high school but my size is better suited for outside linebacker in college." Odenigbo has run a laser timed 4.62 forty.
Odenigbo is thankful for the attention he has been getting in the short time he's played football. "I feel that my strong love for the game and my intensity level have helped me." Odenigbo is known for playing the entire game at full speed. "My love for football is very strong."
The offers for Ifeadi have come from all the major conferences. "I have offers from Ohio State, Northwestern, Michigan, Michigan State, Stanford, Boston College, Notre Dame, West Virginia, Indiana, Illinois, Cincinnati, Vanderbilt, and Oklahoma."
Academics will play a big role in his college choice. "My mom is a doctor and I would like to maybe follow that direction or I might decide to major in economics and look at the business world."
Although playing in the NFL might be in his future, he is not going to college only to play football. "I am using football to get what I want and that is a good college education." He will use that as a vehicle in making his college choice.
Odenigbo has a busy visit schedule lined up in the next month. "I plan on going to visit Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, Stanford, and Illinois."
After taking his visits, Odenigbo hopes to make an early commitment. "If that doesn't work out, then I'll make a decision during or after my senior season." Look for Ifeadi to take his official visits if he waits until after his senior season to make his decision.
While academics will play a big role in his decision, distance from home will not be a factor. "I have schools from California and Georgia that I am looking at very hard so I am not too concerned where the school is located."
