Josh Manley is happy with the direction his recruitment is going. "I am hearing from a lot of schools and have picked up a few offers." Manley has offers from Georgia Tech, North Carolina State, Boston College, and Wake Forest.
Indiana, UCLA, Stanford, Auburn, Tennessee, and Oklahoma State are also showing interest in Manley. One of those schools is Manley's favorite. "Stanford is at the top of my list because of their academic reputation.
Academics is very, very important to me and it will be the number one factor in making my decision on a college."
Manley has some other things he'll be looking for in making his college selection. "I'd like to be at a college that is located where you have a lot to do. I like the chance to have a good time in my free time and not really be tied down in a place with there is not much to do."
Josh has family scattered around the country so he'll be looking at schools where they live. "I am originally from New York and I have family in Southern California, Arizona, as well as Georgia."
Manley enjoyed his trip to Georgia Tech. "Tech runs a similar defense that we do at Milton so I like that fact and the coaches there are real cool."
While at practice, Manley had a chance to speak with coach Andy McCollum. "He talked to me about the program and what to expect heading to college." Manley learned about the school and the team. "He also asked me to watch the drills they do at Georgia Tech and try to incorporate them into my own drills. I watched them and really liked what they were doing, it was impressive."
Manley will be making plans to visit other schools and that will determine when he returns to Georgia Tech. "I will make a return trip."
Look for Josh to be making his college decision after he has a chance to finish his visits.
