Is Moody A Package Deal with Teammate?

With the start of spring practice, Henry County (Georgia) quarterback Chris Moody will be taking on some new responsibilities as he prepares for his senior season. Playing some safety and running the ball more are two of the new tasks that Moody will be working on this spring.

The opening of practice has also brought about increased attention as schools come to watch Chris practice. "I had quite a few schools stop by today. Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Alabama, Ole Miss, Virginia Tech, and Tennessee are just a few of the schools that came by."

One school showed their interest in Moody by having three coaches visit. Coach Joe Speed of Georgia Tech made a return visit and this time Coach Brian Bohannon and Coach Andy McCollum also made the trip to Henry County. "My head coach told me that Coach Speed really liked me and he wanted Coach Bohannon to come by and see me in practice."

While the Tech coaches had already liked what they had seen from Moody, they liked him even better following the practice. "My coach said Coach Bohannon was really impressed with the way I ran the offense and the way I was running the ball."

The attention Moody is getting from Georgia Tech makes them one of the favorites. "They are one school I like a lot right now. "Moody doesn't have a top five but he is getting ready to name one soon. "I will name a top five some time over the summer. Chris will first take some visits with his parents. "After I make some visits, I will trim my list of schools down to five."

Chris is happy with the progress he's made during spring practice. "It's coming along great and I am playing safety in addition to quarterback Also, my head coach is putting in more running plays for the offense. For every running play designed for the running backs, the quarterback also gets a running play designed for the quarterback position. I like that a lot as it adds to my game and I feel that it will only help me as I get ready to play college ball."

As Chris gets closer to making his college choice, he will also be talking with his teammate Dalvin Tomlinson. "We want to be teammates in college and we are planning for it to happen." Top Stories
