Jonathan Jones To Camp At Georgia Tech

Carrollton High School (Georgia) defensive back Jonathan Jones recently made a phone call to Georgia Tech Coach Paul Johnson to talk about his interest in Georgia Tech and his plans for the summer. Jones has already made plans to attend two camps this summer.

The next phase in Jonathan Jones's recruitment will be to attend summer camps. "I have already set up two camps for the summer and I am looking to set up a few more." Jones will be attending camps at Georgia Tech and Michigan State. "I know the Tech camp is on the 17th and 18th of June."

In addition to the camps, Jones is planning to take some visits. "I'd like to visit Mississippi State, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt to see the schools and their campus." Jones received visits from these and other schools during the evaluation period. Many of the schools stopped by to watch him practice.

Jones had a chance to talk with one of his leaders earlier in the week. "I called and talked with Coach Johnson the other day. We talked about my summer plans and my interest in Georgia Tech. He says that he is very interested in me and wants me at Tech. Tech is one of the schools I am interested in right now."

Although he's not ready to release a list of his leaders, Jones has a good idea of the schools that he likes. "I do know who I like but right now I am trying to keep that to myself. There are several schools from the ACC and SEC that I like and will visit over the summer." Jones is open right now but he does have a list of select schools that he like more than the others.

Jones is looking at two options right now to decide when he'll make his college choice. "I could very well make a decision this summer if I am on a visit and it just feels right to me. If not, I don't see myself making one before the end of my football season." Top Stories
