Two of Jonathan Jones recent' visits were to SEC schools. "I made recent visits to Auburn and Mississippi State." Jones' visit to Auburn included working on techniques with the coaches. "While I was there they offered me a scholarship. It's great to get the offer from them.
His trip to Mississippi State it was more of a casual visit as he had been there before. "I still talked with the coaches while I was there and got reacquainted with everything."
The latest visit for Jones was to Georgia Tech. "I've been down there quite a few times and I just wanted to go down there and see some things." While he was there, Jones had a chance to catch up with Broderick Snoddy his former teammate and Georgia Tech freshman. "He told me how great everything is there and how he felt it would be a perfect fit for me. He's a very good friend as he was telling me this he told me he wanted what I thought was best for me. Still he let me know how much he loved being at Tech."
The trip also included getting together with coaches Brian Bohannon and Charles Kelly. "They never have pressured me into making a commitment even though they know how much I like them and Georgia Tech." Bohannon and Kelly have both recommended that Jones take all the visits he needs to make the right decision. "They told me that they would be there for me anytime I wanted to talk with them and that I could call them and they would talk to me about what was on my mind. They are great guys."
The three visits have all put those schools in the forefront when it comes to naming favorites. ""Of the schools that have offered, Georgia Tech, Auburn, and Mississippi State are top three in no particular order."
Georgia Tech will be holding their camp on July 15th and 16th and there's a good chance that Jones will be returning to campus on the 15th. "I might have a track meet to go to but if I don't I think I will make it down there."
Jonathan would like to make his college choice before his season but that will depend how things go with his visits. "If I am torn between a few schools, I might take some official visits to make sure of each school and how much I like them." If the choice is clear, look for Jones to make his choice following his visits.
