Marcus Hunt Expanding His Game and Offer List

North Clayton (GA) Combo guard Marcus Hunt has been busy this summer as an invitee to the Nike skills camps and also playing a major role in the success of the Georgia Stars AAU team.

Marcus Hunt and his teammates have had a successful summer which resulted in their qualifying for the 24 team Nike Peach Jam. Hunt helped lead the Stars to the semi-finals in the Nike Peach Jam hitting four second half threes to help break open a close game.

As the summer AAU season has progressed, so has Hunt. "I've extended my game to a different level and I've gotten in better shape. Hunt helped develop his game this summer by attending the Nike skills camps.

The skills camps gave Marcus a chance to play against some of the elite players in the country. "I learned a lot and I'm using the new moves that they showed me."

Marcus and his parents are now making decisions on which schools he'll visit as his recruitment moves forward. Hunt hopes to narrow down his list of schools by mid August.

Hunt has seen his offer list grow as schools from around the country evaluated his summer performance. Marcus has seen his list mushroom to 20 plus offers. Following his Peach Jam performance Marcus has received offers from from Louisville, Texas, Virginia Tech, and Missouri.

When was asked about teams that were recruiting him the hardest, Marcus wasn't ready to name specific teams. "There's a lot of ACC, SEC, Big 12, Big 10, and PAC 10 teams." Two of the teams Marcus did mention were in-state schools Georgia Tech and Georgia. "They're on me hard."

Look for Marcus to visit both in-state schools as he and his parents move closer to a decision and take a closer look at the schools showing interest in him. Top Stories
