Tevin likes the added attention he's received lately. "A lot of schools have stepped up their recruitment of me lately and that is a very positive sign for me."
Five schools are recruiting Tevin the hardest right now. Georgia Tech, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and West Virginia are the schools showing strong interest in Coleman. "I am hearing a lot from them through the mail and from the coaches."
With two schools located in the south, distance will not be a factor in Tevin's decision. "I think Georgia Tech is one school that I like a lot because they are a great running team and they run a very similar offense that we do at Oak Forest. I definitely will be looking at them very hard in my recruitment."
Georgia Tech and Iowa are two schools that are still on Coleman'svisit schedule. He has plans to visit Iowa this coming weekend and has not set up a date yet to visit Tech. "We are looking forward to going to Atlanta and visiting Georgia Tech."
Following those visits Tevin will take a closer look at the schools showing him interest and he'll then announce a favorites list.
Academic reputation, team chemistry, and early playing time are a few things Tevin will be considering in making his decision. "I want to contribute to my team as fast as I can. That means I will be looking at the depth chart."
The Georgia Tech coaches have told Coleman that they want him on the edge at A Back. "I feel that with my measurements of 6' and 190 pounds that I would fit right in there. I also run a 4.48 forty too so that would be a good time for that spot."
Coleman uses his speed and his ability to break tackles as strengths on the field. He's working on taking care of the football. "Sometimes I get a tendency to let the ball get away from my body. I need to work on keeping it tucked all the time. It doesn't happen often but I need for it not to happen at all."
Look for Tevin to make his decision after his senior season. "I plan on taking my official visits to get to know the coaches and players better."
