Chris has been focusing on his high school team as he prepares for his senior season. "We have been practicing hard in getting ready for our high school season. Morgan feels they're ready to have a strong season.
As he prepares for his final season, Morgan has also taken the time to name his top four schools. "My top four schools are Memphis, UL-Lafayette, Georgia Tech, and SMU." Chris is not ready to name any favorites from those four schools.
Morgan has plans to take official visits to all four schools and he will be going to some games at those schools. "I know I will be attending the Georgia Tech- Virginia Tech game and will be going to games at UL-LA and LSU, Chris is also making plans to attend games at Memphis and SMU. "After I make these visits, I will decide which school fits me best."
Chris gave us some of the reasons he was considering each school.
MEMPHIS - "I like the coaching staff a lot. They have been on me from the start. I have a chance to compete early. The coaches know me well."
UL Lafayette – "It's close to home and I have a family connection with them. My uncle is the head coach at Mississippi Valley and he has coached with a lot the coaches there and in fact he almost became the defensive line coach there but he took the head coaching job at Mississippi. Valley. The program is on the rise and they look like they will be very good this season."
GEORGIA TECH – "They have two of the possible majors I want in college. I either want to major in architecture or computer engineering. Also, as a defensive player I love their offense. I love the history of the program and the city of Atlanta is great, I really love the city. Plus, the coaches are great there. They have really upgraded their facilities."
SMU – "I love the head coach there. We get along just great. They also signed three of my best friends last year and I know I will have a family like atmosphere there. They have a new locker room and are in the process of expanding their stadium. I also like their offense."
Morgan currently has offers from two of his final four schools. Memphis and UL-Lafayette are the two schools that have offered Chris. "The coaches at SMU and Georgia Tech said offers would be coming about mid season once they have had a chance to review my film from my games this season." Morgan feels positive that he'll be getting those offers.
Chris will be looking for the school that has the best combination of football and academics. "If they have my major, it is a plus." Morgan is also looking to get away from home so distance will not be a factor in his decision.
