Brandon Facyson Is a Dangerous Matchup

2013 recruit Brandon Facyson is a talented two way player from Northgate High School in Newnan, Georgia. spoke with his dad about Brandon's recruitment. Not only is Brandon an excellent player but he also excels in the classroom.

Brandon Facyson is the starting cornerback and wide receiver for Northgate. Facyson has been starting at both positions since his sophomore season. "Brandon prefers playing defensive back but he is more of a natural wide receiver." Northgate is a dominating running team that often doesn't require Brandon's talents as a receiver.

Most schools that are recruiting Facyson like him as a defensive back. "Being 6' 2' and 185 pounds, I feel college coaches want his size to match up with the tall wide receivers that most teams have now."

Thus far the junior athlete has two offers. "He has them from North Carolina and Virginia Tech." Brandon is also hearing from Georgia Tech, LSU, Georgia, Georgia Southern, and Florida.

Brandon has been in touch with receiver Coach "Buzz" Preston and defensive backs Coach Charles Kelly at Georgia Tech. Brandon and his family value a school that has a great reputation from an academic standpoint and a coaching staff that stresses being responsible on the field as well as in the classroom. "Georgia Tech has both of those qualities."

Brandon's dad sees Tech as an excellent academic school. He and his wife both come from backgrounds that stress educational values and discipline. "With Coach Johnson coming from Navy, I know he is a coach that will stay on top of his players in the class room as well as on the field." Brandon has a 3.9 GPA and he could get into Georgia Tech as a regular student. "That is something he is proud of as well as both his mom and me."

While North Carolina and Virginia Tech are the two schools that have offered so far the feeling is that more schools will be offering once they look at his film from this season. "We have some new film to send out that has Brandon's production broken down."

Brandon has visited both in-state schools for games thus far this season. "He went to the Georgia Tech game against North Carolina and he has been to a game at Georgia." Facyson was scheduled to go to a Miami game but he had to reschedule it as well as the LSU game he was supposed to attend. "I know Brandon will be going to the Georgia Tech game when they play Virginia Tech and he plans to attend a Florida game."

Facyson has been chosen to play in both the Georgia Rising Senior game and the O-D game in Dallas, Texas. "Both are at the same time so I feel he will go to the Rising Senior game as it will give him more exposure in his recruitment." Top Stories
