Jaylen Brantley's a near 6-foot point guard and a junior at Wilbraham & Monson Academy in Massachusetts. He was a member of a very talented AAU team this summer, BABC, that posted more than eighty wins against about a half dozen losses. He is high on the Tech prospect list and talked about his recruitment.

Jaylen Brantley and the young Wilbraham and Monson Academy team are getting ready to play an ambitious schedule. There are some very good schools like Tilden and Blair Academy and we play in the Hoop Hall of Fame tournament in Springfield, MA."

Brantley and his teammates will also be taking a trip overseas. "At the end of December we have three games in the Netherlands."

As he prepares for his junior season, Brantley has seen his recruitment take off following a strong summer AAU performance. One of the schools showing him interest is Georgetown. When we talked to Jaylen, he had just returned from an unofficial visit to Georgetown. Brantley has received an offer from them.

In addition to the offer from Georgetown, Brantley has also received offers from Virginia, Florida, Syracuse, Northeastern, Cincinnati, Virginia Tech, Richmond, Rhode Island, and Georgia Tech.

Georgia Tech Coach Billy Schmidt is one of the coaches that has been up to see Jaylen. "I've heard from a number of coaches on their staff in person and by phone."

Brantley is a point guard that the Tech staff is showing a lot of interest for their 2013 class. "They can't wait to get me on campus and fit me into their system."

The Tech staff may get a chance to see Brantley in Atlanta following his junior season. "I may visit in the Spring."

Although Jaylen hasn't decided on a college major it will be one of the things he'll be looking at in choosing a school. "I'll also be looking at the campus and the coaching staffs."

Jaylen was honest when asked when he'll be making his college decision. "I don't have a clue when that will be."
