Tyshon Dye received a visit from Georgia Tech coaches Paul Johnson and Brian Bohannon. "My head coach had told me that I was going to have some visitors and it was a surprise to know it was Georgia Tech." Dye was glad to hear that they made the visit and were showing interest in him.
Both Tech coaches watched film of Dye and were impressed with the way he ran the ball. "My coach said that Coach Johnson told him that he really likes me as a running back and that he was looking forward to seeing me and getting a chance to talk with me. Dye feels it will be just a matter of time before they offer. "That would be good to hear."
The Tech coaches are looking at Dye to play their A Back position. Dye is 6'-200 and runs a 4.44 forty. These are numbers that fit well with what the Tech coaches are looking for in an A Back.
Tyshon has picked up two offers from Clemson and Georgia. Other schools are also showing him interest. "I am hearing from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and now Georgia Tech, just to name a few." He does not have any favorites at this time.
Dye made the trip to Tuscaloosa for the Alabama-LSU and has a few other visits planned. "I plan on going to the Georgia and Auburn game. "I might also be going to the Georgia Tech-Georgia game but that hasn't been set up as a definite yet."
Tyshon will be looking for a school whose coaches have his athletic and academic sides as a priority. "I want a school that has an offense that fits my style. We run a wing-t at Elbert County so some type of option offense would be great."
Dye and his teammates are now getting ready for the high school playoffs. "Despite being 9-1, we are the third seed in our region." Losing to the winner of their side of the region dropped Elbert County to the 3rd seed.
