Miles Jones Hoping For Offer From Favorite

Allatoona running back Miles Jones recently made a return trip to Bobby Dodd Stadium for Georgia Tech's game with Clemson. Jones has Georgia Tech as his favorite and is hoping to get an offer.

Miles Jones was impressed with the crowd at the game and the way the players were feeding off the energy from the crowd. "Georgia Tech played great and you could tell they were fired up for Clemson."

In addition to watching the game, Jones had a chance to hang out with the recruits at the game, the players, and to talk with the coaches. "I talked with Coach (Brian) Bohanon and Coach (Lamar) Owens." Both coaches let Jones know that they liked what they've seen from him this season. He continues to be high on their list of running back possibilities.

Before things can move forward with Jones, Tech will be looking to clear up some things at his position. . Miles feels that Tech has him in their plans. "As my season has gone on, they have moved me up their charts and need to know where they stand with another recruit." Miles is aware of how the recruiting process works and he feels that it is right that the picture is cleared before they start making promises (scholarship offer) to him or any other running back.

The wait hasn't changed how Jones feels about the Jackets. "I like them very much from both an academic stand point and a football stand point. An offer from them would be great and I hope one comes through."

Miles is not sure if that offer would lead to his committing on the spot. "I would go home and talk it over with my parents so I know I am making the right decision. I don't want to be one of those commits that says yes and then decommits because it made to soon." Jones doesn't have any doubts that Tech is at the top of his list.

Kentucky offered Miles during his sophomore year but hasn't heard much from them lately. There are other schools that are showing him interest. "The schools I hear from the most are Georgia Tech, Middle Tennessee State, Georgia Southern, Georgia, Elon, and Mississippi State."

With the season drawing to a close, Miles has one visit in mind and may possibly take a second. "Right now I am sure I will visit Georgia Tech for the Georgia game." Jones may also visit MiddleTennessee State.

Miles hopes to make his decision as soon as his season ends. He knows it will definitely be before signing day. "I want to go to a school where I can get a good education and degree and hopefully where I can make an impact as a running back." Top Stories
