Although most of his offers are from schools in the east, Bower does have offers from schools as far away as Purdue. "I feel that others will also start offering."
When asked to name the schools that were recruiting him the hardest, Tashawn mentioned that Rutgers, Connecticut, Tennessee, Florida State, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, and Ohio State are recruiting him a little harder than the other schools.
Georgia Tech is a new school that has entered the picture in Bower's recruitment. "I have talked with Coach (Joe) Speed quite often and we have built a good relationship. He really wants me to get down there for a game and a chance to see the campus and check out the school plus meet all of the other coaches, especially ones on defense."
Bower and his teammates are in the state playoffs which might delay that visit. "I would really love to see a game but it all depends on how my team does in the playoffs."
Coach Speed and Bower have been talking for a while but the interest has just picked up in recent weeks. That interst has Tashawn showing interest in Tech's season. "They have a great season going and have a really good team. I saw where they knocked off unbeaten and 5th ranked Clemson a couple of weeks ago and they have had some big wins this season and in the past." Bower is also aware of the defensive leadership of Coach Al Groh. "It would great to play for him if I chose Georgia Tech. They are a school I do like a lot."
With all the attention he's getting, Tashawn is not ready to name any leaders. "I am keeping it wide open and letting everything come to me so I can see what is the best for me."
As he begins taking a closer look at some of the schools recruiting him, Bower will be looking at the comfort level he feels when he'son campus. "I want to be on a team with good chemistry and players that have good bonds, relationships among one another." Bower will also be looking at the best combination of academics and athletics. He will also be looking for a school with a good business program.
Location will not be a factor in his decision. "I don't care if the school I pick is out on the west coast. I just want the school that fits me the best and the one that gives me the best opportunity."
